Louis Delait

Louis was born in the Ardenne region (Belgium) in 1999.
He obtained a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in 2022.
He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in the RF-SOI group under the co-supervision of Prof. Dimitri Lederer and Prof. Jean-Pierre Raskin with whom he defended his master thesis: “Non-linear RF modelling of semiconductor substrate materials in integrated circuits”.

His activities are separated into 3 themes:

  • Electromagnetic modelling, characterization and optimization of integrated (On-chip or In-package) antennas and transitions at mmW and Sub-THz frequencies.
  • Development of characterization tools for semiconductor substrate at Sub-THz frequencies.
  • Teaching activities for Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain.

Research Projects

His research focuses on the design of efficient integrated (On-chip or In-package) antennas compatible with commercial semiconductor processes at Sub-THz frequencies.
He is also active in modelling, characterization and optimization of semiconductor substrates, towards successful monolithic integration of silicon-based technology.
