Louis Delait

Louis was born in the Ardenne region (Belgium) in 1999.
He obtained a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in 2022.
He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in the RF-SOI group under the co-supervision of Prof. Dimitri Lederer and Prof. Jean-Pierre Raskin with whom he defended his master thesis: “Non-linear RF modelling of semiconductor substrate materials in integrated circuits”.

His activities are separated into 3 themes:

  • Electromagnetic modelling and characterization of antennas and transitions for 3D heterogeneous integration at mmW and THz frequencies
  • Large-signal models development of the non-linear behaviour of semiconductor substrate interfaces for the evaluation of substrate-induced harmonic distortion in RF and mmW systems.
  • Teaching activities for Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain.

Research Projects

  • On-chip and in-package mm-wave and THz antennas development
  • Modelling and characterization of transitions for 3D heterogeneous integration

  • On-wafer RF & mm-wave measurements
  • Non-linear large-signal RF substrate modelling
