Option: Law of International Globalization [15.0]The option "Law of International Globalization" constitutes a consistent set of three courses ena-bling students to acquire a thorough knowledge of the main legal issues revolving around the phenomenon usually referred to as "globalization".
This phenomenon has entailed significant transformations in the international legal order, e.g. with respect to law-making and law-enforcement. These transformations are particularly salient in three specific fields: intergovernmental organizations, international trade and the protection of the environment. Each of the three courses highlights the growing regulation of the sovereign activities of States by legal regimes which amount to some form of multilateral governance, the underlying political stakes, and the potential impact of this process on the very nature of international law.
