SISE, the sector’s IT service, simplifies the management of printers. It has set up a print server in which all printers are defined. From now on, all the printings on the Ricoh printer (office A103, in front of the secretariat) will go through this server and it will no longer be possible to connect directly to the printer.
To use the print server and print on the Ricoh printer, it is mandatory to have a global UCLouvain ID and to be part of the user group entitled to use it. The name of this group is imp-sise-ricoh-inma.
- If your UCLouvain global login is enabled, go to your virtual desktop (MyUCL)
and click on the
Groups Managementwidget. If it does not appear by default, you must add it (Custom my dashboard). Check the list on the right to see (Je suis uniquement membre de, in french) if imp-sise-ricoh-inma appears. If it doesn’t, contact Pascale Premereur who manages this list so she can add it.
- If you are a visitor and do not have a global UCLouvain login, you will use
the
guest-inmaaccount. Contact Pascale Premereur or Etienne Huens to receive the password for this account.
To date, we use a personal user code as an additional means of protection. It is a numerical code of generally 4 digits. Without this code, printing and copying are impossible. To obtain your code, contact Pascale Premereur.
The installation of the printer depends on the operating system of your machine. Continue by choosing it from the left menu.
