Established on the initiative of State Security, the General Intelligence and Security Service, the Standing Supervisory Committee of the Intelligence Services and the School for Intelligence and Security of the Armed Forces, is part of the Belgian Intelligence Academy (BIA) in the increasing importance that the Guardianship Authorities attach to the valorization of the intelligence services. In this context, it responds to a political will to perfect the training of its staff in full independence. With the exception of the courses distributed by the Intelligence and Security School (IVS), There is currently no official training for intelligence service personnel in Belgium. By way of exception, some are trained abroad. |
