So in 2011, some professionals from the intelligence services and the academic world have taken the initiative to found the ‘Belgian Intelligence Studies Center’ or ‘BISC’. As a study center for intelligence studies, the ‘BISC’ wishes to bring together, sous l’aile du Centre for Policing and Security ou ‘CPS vzw’, the academic world and the intelligence and security services. The center thus wishes to contribute to the resolution of societal questions in the field of intelligence. This collaboration will materialize in the organization of study days and publications. It is obvious that the 'BISC' will also have to become a driving force for the stimulation of scientific research in this field.. | Therefore, in 2011, a number of professionals from the Belgian intelligence communities and academics took matters into their own hands and created the ‘Belgian Intelligence Studies Center’ or BISC.
