The telencephalon consists of two hemispheres. Each one of them has:

Superior or superomedial

Two extremities or poles

Cerebral Sulci

1st degree sulci: deep and constant
- Lateral sulcus
  the most important one, the largest one
- Central sulcus
  starts on the medial surface

  - Medial view of the left cerebral hemisphere
- Parieto-occipital sulcus
  on the medial surface
- Calcarine sulcus
  starts on the medial surface of the occipital pole
- Cingulate sulcus
  S-shaped, starts on the superomedial edge, behind the central sulcus
2d degree sulci:
less marked sulci that divides lobes into gyri
