The second university study cycle programme (("licence" in Management covers three years of studies. It develops training in Management with a distinct orientation towards the application of quantitative methods and computer studies in management and also includes sound training in the Exact Sciences, Technology and Industrial Environment.

This programme offers the choice between three orientations : a general orientation, a CEMS orientation and a "Company Creation" orientation.

The CEMS orientation of the "licence" in Management enables the student to obtain in addition, and in the context of the three study years of the programme, the CEMS (Community of European Management Schools) Master. This supplementary diploma is jointly delivered by the European university management schools which make up the "Community of European Management Schools" (CEMS) ; these currently number 17 : Erasmus Universiteit (Rotterdam), ESADE (Barcelona), HEC (Paris), Helsinki School of Economics and BA (FI), IAG (UCL - Louvain-la-Neuve), Università Luigi Bocconi (Milan), Universität zu Köln (Cologne), Copenhagen Business School, Universität St Gallen (CH), London School of Economics, Stockholm School of Economics, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (Bergen), Budapest University of Economic Sciences (HU), University of Economics Prague, Warsaw School of Economics et University College Dublin (Ireland). To obtain this diploma, besides a specific choice of courses in the context of the CEMS orientation, lthe student will have to acquire an international experience via a six-month stay in a foreign country (one semester of 3rd year courses in a CEMS school and 10 weeks abroad) and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of 2 foreign languages (information is available at the secretary's office).

The "Company Creation" orientation " is an interdisciplinary training course addressing students following the "licence" programme in Mangement, the " licence" in Law and in Civil Engineering. It aims at jointly preparing the students from the three programmes to work together on the conditions for creating a new company. It culminates in the writing of a common thesis in teams of three (one student per per programme) - a thesis of which the final objective is the real creation of a small to medium-sized company.

Access to the "licence" programme in Management is open to "candidat" diploma holders in Management.

• 1st year : a first approach to the functions of management (finance, marketing, general management, human management, operations management) and the underlying techniques and subjects (technology and research and development, operational research, computer studies, languages, grouped together in 8 domains.
• 2nd year : on the one hand, integration of the knowledge and methods, for example by means of an important technological project and, on the other hand, focus on opening up horizons by way of a compulsory exchange semester.
• 3rd year : more in-depth studies thanks to two specific study directions (to be chosen from among 11, such as human resources and organisation, company finances, market finances and financing institutions, audit and control, environment, logistics and supply chain Management, in-depth operational marketing, in-depth strategic marketing, strategies and innovation, information systems, European management strategies) and contact with the field by means of an apprenticeship linked to a thesis.

The volume of work is expressed in terms of Credits, 1/3 of the volume represents the hours of course attendance and 2/3 the personal work undertaken or the supervised group work.

The "licence" degree in Management, when awarded with distinction - application may be introduced for a derogation regarding the grade - entitles access to all the 3rd cycle (master) programmes in specialisation in management : the DES in Economics and Management (ECGE 3DS), orientation : Management, Computer Studies in Management or Financial Economics, or to the 3rd cycle of studies in Management as a preparation for doctoral research : the DEA in Economics and management (ECGE 3DA). Furthermore, this degree also entitles access to all the 2nd cycle masters for 60 credits organised in 1 year at the Faculty of Economic, Social and Political Sciences or in certain other faculties.
