David Cordova Bulens
Former member (2013-2017)
I am currently an Electrical engineer at Applied Materials working on the developpment of plasma sensing technology for the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
I graduated as a Electro-mechanical engineer from Université catholique de Louvain (BS 2011, MS 2013) and I received a PhD in applied science (2017) from the same university for my work entitled "Using robust and optimal control theory to understad hand dominance and bimanual coordination", this work was co-supervised by Frédéric Crevecoeur and Phillipe Lefevre. During 2020-2024 I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at University College Dublin, working with Stephen Redmond. I studied the sense of touch and its role in dexterous manipulation. I also designed and developped tactile robotic sensors capable of detecting slippage and able to measure the coefficient of friction of a surface.
