Study objectives

This programme is destined for university graduates in another subject (or with a degree judged to be equivalent) wishing to acquire complementary training in the domain of French or Romance Languages and Literature (option 1) and in teaching French as a Foreign Language (option 2).

Admission conditions

  • University graduate students are entitled access to option 1, subject to the conditions fixed by the Faculty authorities. Students enrolled for their final undergraduate year may also have access. In the case of the latter, the master's degree can only be obtained after the bachelor's degree.
  • Those who choose option 2 must, in addition, hold the post graduate certificate of education, PGCE (AESS, in French) or the teacher training certificate "Certificat d'Aptitude Pédagogique" (CAP). They must also possess a good mastery of the French language - oral and written (this will be verified at the beginning of the course) and will have to specify their training project in a letter of motivation. If the Admission Committee deems it necessary, they may impose a course on "Written Argumentation".
