Superior surface

• Downward and backward sloping
• Isolated from the occipital lobe by the tentorium cerebelli
• On the median line: the vermis

Inferior surface

• Lies on the cerebellar fossa
• Convex in every direction
• On the median line : vermis

Anterior surface

Visible after resection of the cerebellar peduncles

• Fourth ventricle
• Cerebellar peduncles
  • Three pairs: superior, middle and inferior peduncles
  • The homolateral cerebellar peduncles merge as they leave the cerebellum
  • Superior medullary velum: unites the two superior cerebellar peduncles
  • Middle cerebellar peduncles: the largest
