Retour en début de pageStudy objectives

The preparatory year provides students with the basic tools in linguistics, literature and culture of either one Germanic and one Romance language or two Germanic languages, to help them sucessfully follow the Master [60] of arts in Modern Languages and Literatures : General [60.0] or the Master [120] of arts in Modern Languages and Literatures : General [120.0] .

The specific programme for two Germanic languages /both languages studied (one Germanic and one Romance language) includes specialised courses aimed at developing four skills :

The programme also includes a basic training of general courses.

Retour en début de pageEvaluation

Depending on the nature of the course and the teaching activities in question, the evaluation will take different forms. Some courses will involve oral and/or written evaluations (held during one of the three exam sessions), whilst the evaluation of seminars will involve more substantial participation on the part of the student as well as assessment of individual course work. Those exams relating to courses on communication skills will evaluate the student's level, i.e. the practical use of the language in relevant situations.
