Adolphe Van Tiggelen Award
The Adolphe Van Tiggelen Award recognises meritorious work, in any branch of combus on, by a young researcher working in Belgium. One aim of this biennially prize is to encourage young people who work in any area of combustion. The prize commemorates Professor Adolphe Van Tiggelen and will be awarded to the best presentation at the "Journées d'Etudes". A "young researcher" is maximum 35 years old and has not yet obtained his/her PhD for more than 1 year (or has not yet obtained his/her PhD).

Industrial Advisory Board Award
The Industrial Advisory Board Award was recently created to encourage members of the Belgian Section to highlight to potential added value of their research for the industrial members of the Section, with the long term objective of facilitating collaboration between academic and industrial members. The prize will be biennially awarded, during the "Journées d'Etude", by representatives of the Industrial Advisory Board. All presentations given during this event are eligible for this award.
