The second university study cycle programme ("licence") in Biblical Philology covers two years of studies which may be followed as a complement to the DEA programme in Theology (c.f. study programme for the in-depth diploma studies in Theology) : these courses are partly common. Here, the study of the biblical languages, literature and milieux, as well as the methods used for these studies, will be gone into in more detail. Other courses in Philology and Oriental History may be taken in the way of options. |
The "licence" programme in Biblical Philology is accessible to holders of a university certificate in Biblical Philology, also to holders of a first university study cycle diploma ("candidature") in the Arts or in Religious Sciences, or another diploma that the Faculty judges as being comparable. Holders of a "candidature" or "licence" diploma in Religious Sciences who have already had an initiation course into Greek with the relevant exercises and elementary Hebrew on their programme, are authorised to register directly on the "licence" programme in Biblical Philology, subject to adding the FIBI 1 DC or EBIB 9CE courses not yet followed. |
The University admission and enrolment procedures are detailed on the web address under "General Information" : http://www.ucl.ac.be/etudes/libres/acces.html |
