Aims

At the end of the course, the successful student will have acquired the theoretical knowledge and practical competence necessary for the psychomotor education and re-education of healthy and handicapped children. The course addresses the fundamental aspects of psychomotor development during childhood while highlighting the discreapancies due to a physical or a mental handicap.

Main themes

Theory and practice via clinical examination of the psychomotor development of the healthy child from age 0-3:
- archaic reflexes
- osteo-tendinous reflexes
- motor reactions
- muscle tone
- motor learning and performance
Theory and practical exercises related to the psychomotor development of the healthy child from age 3-10:
- global and fine motor development
- perceptive organisation
- spatio-temporal organisation
- laterality and body awareness

Content and teaching methods

Will be completed by the titular professor when the courses will be attributed
