Aims
The aim of this course is threefold: to introduce the subject to students through a general overview, to familiarise them with the principles of commercial law and to explain a certain number of rules and mechanisms chosen for their special interest

The syllabus involves all aspects of commercial law and principally considers the following themes (the emphasis placed on any one topic may vary ):
- history of commercial law
- characteristics and specific features of modern commercial law
- specific domains
- institutions
- aims of modern trade law
- legal forms of companies
- company assets
- financing of companies
- company contracts
- rules applicable to company activities
- transfer of companiesCommercial law concepts, institutions and rules are always presented from a historical, economic, comparative and European perspective.
