Aims
Introduction to the art, the technique, and the philosophy of musical teaching. After analysing different programmes, private and public, a drawing up of the essential principles of the discipline : study of the language of artistic works as well as how to translate it into current sociological and educational situations.
Also, examination of what can be drawn from former situations in philosophy.
Main themes
Lectures on the history of music teaching and the collection of decisive texts, as well as the particular processes and principles of music education, all of this in relation to the more general processes and principles of education and teaching in secondary school (high school).
These lectures will be followed by exercises in microteaching, by observations, and finally by the actual practice of so called " new " music teaching in real-life situations during an internship
Content and teaching methods
Lectures on the history of music teaching and the collection of decisive texts, as well as the particular processes and principles of music education, all of this in relation to the more general processes and principles of education and teaching in secondary school (high school). These lectures will be followed by exercises in microteaching, by observations, and finally by the actual practice of so called " new " music teaching in real-life situations during an internship More specifically, the exercises are set up to gradually develop the future teacher-student from a situation of critical observation of the methods, through the adoption of a certain number of model processes and attitudes, to finally set up his own educational choices.

Prerequisites : training in didactics of the plastic arts.
Oral and written presentation of a personal assignment on a subject in musical didactics.
Course notes and compulsory readings.
The professor of didactics and the internship supervisor.
