- Basilar part of pons
- Anterior part of pons
- Transversal fibers, from the nuclei of the pons, that
- Intersect the pyramidal fasciculi
- Cross the median line
- Form the middle cerebellar peduncles
- Tegmentum of pons
- Posterior part of pons
- Direct continuation of the medulla oblongata
- Posterior limit: grey matter that forms the floor of the fourth ventricle
The reticular formation
- Part of the tegmentum of pons
- Divided into two symmetrical parts by the pontine raphe
The fourth ventricle
- Reaches its largest size at limit between the pons and the medulla oblongata
- Narrowing into a triangle at the upper half of the pons (convergence of the superior cerebellar peduncles)
