At the end of his studies, the student will have developed high level communication skills in the two Germanic languages which have formed his master in 60 credits. These skills are classed at European level as amounting to those of a 'proficient user'.
Depending on the courses chosen (see infra), the student will have been given an introduction to the scientific analysis of texts, from both a linguistic and literary point of view, as well as how to study writers, theories or different schools of thought, or more generally, linguistic or literary approaches.

The programme is made up of:
♦ core courses (40 credits), made up of:
- 25 credits in language courses (which must include 2 courses in interactive skills in each of the two languages included in the student's programme);
- 15 credits for the end of study work;
♦ and optional courses (20 credits) to be spread equally between linguistics and literature and the languages studied.

Accessible master :
Master [120] of arts in Modern Languages and Literatures : German, Dutch and English [120.0] Direct access to the second year of the master; training includes the Dissertation and the Dissertation seminar (30 credits), one focus and the possible further trainings (maximum 30 credits).
