Option courses

Students doing the research focus must gain a minimum of 35 credits from optional subjects which must be chosen from the statistical option courses. Students must gain at least 25 credits from the list of option courses on Statistical Tools and Methods (S1) and Mathematical Statistics (S2).

Students doing the professional focus must gain a minimum of 35 credits from optional subjects. They must ensure that they have 25 credits for statistics option courses, of which at least 15 credits from the following option courses : Biometrics and Technometrics (S3), Data Mining and Data Management (S4), Econometrics (S5), Actuarial Science (S6) or Statistics in Human Sciences (S7). In addition, a minimum of 10 credits (up to a maximum of 24) must be from the application option courses. These activities should be chosen to fit in with the statistical option courses already chosen and also students’ professional aims.
