Zhaochong Cai is a postdoctoral researcher at the Universite catholique de Louvain (Belgium). His research focuses on studying the responses of the human tactile system in manipulation tasks, aiming to understand and simulate tactile responses during object manipulation.

He earned his Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands), where his work centered on the use of resonant traveling waves to generate tactile feedback on touch interfaces. He holds an M.Sc. in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang University (China), where his research focused on high-resolution in-vivo fluorescence bioimaging.
