Artem Dobrosmyslov
PhD Student (2024-)
I am a PhD student at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium). After graduating from the Joint Master in Neuroscience program (Universities of Strasbourg and Freiburg), I started my PhD project under co-supervision of Professors André Mouraux and Benoît Delhaye.
My PhD project aims to characterise the integration of somatosensory modalities by the central nervous system and the resulting unified perceptions, with a particular interest in haptic exploration. My research focuses on how concurrent mechanical touch influences the cortical processing and perception of thermal stimuli. For that, I explore mechanisms underlying somatosensory illusions, such as thermal referral, using methods as psychophysical evaluations and EEG.
My thesis is a part of the ARC MSSH project.
