INTRODUCTION

The research group of Prof. O. Riant develops a general expertise in the field of organometallic stereochemistry. We are specialised in the design of chiral ligands for asymmetric catalysis. In this area, we have developed new methodologies for the asymmetric synthesis of ferrocenyl complexes bearing planar chirality. We are studying the discovery and the optimisation of various asymmetric transformations for the production of enantioenriched chiral molecules such as secondary alcohols by asymmetric hydrosilylation. We are also involved in the study of asymmetric catalysed reaction involving radical intermediates. We have also recently initiated new programs toward the use of asymmetric catalysis for the synthesis of biologically active molecules.

Keywords: asymmetric catalysis, chiral ligands and complexes, titanium complexes, asymmetric hydrosilylation, radical anions, ferrocenyl complexes, organic synthesis, parallel synthesis high-troughput catalytic tests.
