Study objectives
In addition to providing a general background in the
Arts, the bachelor's programme provides
specialised instruction in Modern and Ancient Languages and Literature,
and more specifically in French and Latin. Analysis of Latin and French
texts plays a central role in the course. It is based on an in-depth
knowledge of the Latin and French languages and on modern techniques in
Hermeneutics, in Literature Theory and Linguistics.
|
Evaluation
The written and oral exams aim to evaluate not only the
level of knowledge acquired, but also the know-how and communication
skills
of the student. Some subject areas which focus on the development of
research
and critical appreciation skills take the form of intermediary
evaluations spread over the course of the year.
