Aims

By the end of this course, the student should be able:
- to integrate the specific contribution of the various theological disciplines into Christian spirituality;
- to develop a reflection on the criteria of the Christian spiritual experiences and their various aspects.

Main themes

In order to achieve these goals, and taking into account the questions of the students, the course deals with the following aspects:
- a standard test of Christian spirituality and a theological reflection on the conceptions of human life and the Christian existence which it induces;
- a study of the journey and the texts of some great names of Christian spirituality including a critical reflection on the spiritual incidence of one or another theological discipline;
- an initiation to the principal working tools and major sources.

Content and teaching methods

Introduction to the theological study of christian spiritual experiences starting from selected exemples.
