Aims

Analysis of teaching experiences of French as a foreign or second language. We will learn to have a critical and ²assessment² look at the observed ways of teaching (films, pupils copies, tape and casette recording,...). We will also measure the effects of a methodology or of the way the students put their knowledge into words. And we will express hypotheses on the means to be used to allow some improvements to be made.

Main themes

The objectives of this seminar is to energize the critical mind, to stimulate the production of tools, to encourage the sharing of experiences acquired in the field and of theorethical information.

Content and teaching methods

This seminar, 'think tank' in which take part of the students and the teachers of French foreign language, is representative of an research-action who articulate the work of the university on that of the teachers, wants to be with the listening of the needs for the practice, and seeks to systematize the assets of people of ground.

Prerequisites : This seminar is meant for students registered for the degree/diploma of specialiased studies of Teaching French as a foreign or second language (FLE 3 DS)

Evaluation : A paper in which the students points out the contribution of the seminar and studies one of the suggested tracks more deeply.
