Aims
At the end of the course, students will be able:
- to analyse in a critical way a manu of E/LE;
- to design and put into practice a complete teaching unit that incorporates various linguistic skills;
- to evaluate their own teaching performance from both the linguistic and teaching-skills point of view.
Main themes
The course has two aspects:
1. presentation and critical analysis of school textbooks
2. experience of teaching of E/LE in a small group
Content and teaching methods
After a short introduction to the teaching of communicative skills, the meetings will make it possible for students to work out a teaching unit and then to test it in a real class. The teaching exercise will be filmed and will be the subject of an evaluation and a self-evaluation. The practice developed by the different students will be confronted with the proposals contained in the school textbooks.
