Aims

To carry out a limited, but complete reasearch of how well or badly a foreign author is accepted. Heuristic and bibliographical command of the methods and tools. Critical reading of the texts, chronological organisation of how the author or texts are accepted and of a synthesis, determining the configuration (position and image) of the author in question.

Main themes

Study of how an foreign author is welcomed in the critical press. General introduction - individual essays - Ideas and opinions put together and discussed.

Content and teaching methods

A combination of collective reflection and personal study allows the lecturer to illustrate, and the students to become acquainted with, some major issues of comparative literature.

Evaluation : Paper and oral presentation of the research results.
