Aims

- to take over and to develop the contents of the courses of ergonomy, with application to actual ergonomic problems and to practical experiences.
- to confront the theoretical knowledge with the measures of implementation.
- to be familiarized with the various components of the labour and business world.

Main themes

Study of actual cases of ergonomic intervention, including the visits of plants presenting complex ergonomic problems (tests of software, control plants, computerized centers, etc.)

Content and teaching methods

Work and ergonomic psychology is one of the applications of psychology. As every applied psychology, the success of the interventions depends not aonly on the expert konwledge, but also on the implementation of the proposed actions and of the implied management of the dynamics of change. From practical cases and visits of factories, this course aims at confronting theories and practices, at reviewing the various practices and at examining the precautions to be taken to ensure the success. This run implies to take cognizance of the various parts implied in the world of industrial, service, commercial, associative and extra-professional work.

This course has natural links (but not compulsory) with PSY 2140, PSY 2122, PSY 2125, PSY 2123.
