Aims
This course aims to organise and guide the students during their pediatric training stage.
It will be concentrated on self learning procedures, literature review, good use of internet for medical practice, critical review of clinical cases, peer review process, making decision process, hospital discharge decision and follow up
Main themes
The course is organised in the form of weekly seminars. The seminars are animated by the students, under the supervision and guidance of the professor. The students learn to present and be positively cirtisized, in the presentation, the differential diagnosis, the decision process. They learn how to gather all the informations from a practical clinical case to train their own self learning capacities and peer review activity. Subjects include clinical symptoms, history taking procedure, para clinical investigations, treatment, follow up,
Serahcning informaiton in the litterature and on the web will be encouraged and critically reveiwed and discussed.
Content and teaching methods
Seminar during the training stage, aiming to assist the student to integrate progressively his/her practical professional life, by placing the student in real context. learning by problems, peer review exercises, consultation of scientific literature and internet, clear and concise presentation of medical problems, decision making process

45 seminars per year, during the 12 months stga eperiod, alternating group of 12 to 15 students during the two month period of their pediatric training stage.
