Aims
As the general history of the Greek literature has been seen in the previous years, this course offers the opportunity to focus on one literary period or genre or to deal with one theme through different works.
Main themes
This course, that can be followed two years, suggests thought tracks and analyses models regarding a subject of Greek literature. It should get the students make some personal research, that they present at the exam.
Content and teaching methods
This course focuses on the study of one period or genre of the Greek literature, or deals with one theme through different works. It consists of ex-cathedra courses, giving some thoughts tracks and analysis models, that will be used by the students when performing some personal research, related to the subjects seen at the courses. This research will be presented at the exam.
Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)
Prerequisite : students are expected to be familiar with the history of the Greek literature and are requested to read the texts analysed. Reading the texts can be done by translating these, as long as the students are still in direct contact with the original Greek texts.
Evaluation : oral exam.
Texts and books : a corpus of texts will have to be studied.
