Aims
At the end of the course, the students will master the models and concepts allowing them, from the point of view of a trainer of teachers :
(1) to draw the components of a program and of devices likely to favour the development of competences and of professional identity;
(2) to analyse critically a program and devices, and to propose some tracks of improvement;
(3) to explain the theoretical basis of their analyses and propositions.
Main themes
This course provides a wide set of concepts and models allowing to realise the above objectives. It applies to the teachers formation more general questions (didactic transposition, building of competences, integration of the knowledge, interdisciplinarity, transfer, implication of the actors in their own formation, coaching). The contents will be specified in a reading portfolio useful during two years. In terms of methods, an important part of the activities will be devoted to case studies and to the reflexive analysis of experiences lived beforehand as teacher and future teacher.
Content and teaching methods
The concepts and models of this basic course (1st part) will allow at least to conceptualise the following questions :
- the aim of formation of teachers : the teacher work, the models of situations of teaching/learning, the career of teacher, the models of professionalism, the competences to develop;
- the programs and devices favouring the building of competences and of professional identity; the factors favouring the professional development;
- kinds of coaching and of evaluation of the future professional;
- the required competences for the teacher and the trainer of teachers.
Special attention will be paid to the initial training of the teachers, with a wide opening to the initial and continuous professional formation in other professions than human.

- Prerequisite : an experience of intervention as teacher or as educator.
- Educational methods fitted for adults including the link between theory and practice, group work, formative assessment and steps of individual and group appropriation of the contents. In this course, the devices presented must be consistent with the learned principles.
- During the course, the students will keep a personal log whose content he will analyse at the end of the 3e licence.
- The content of the repository will be developed in cooperation with the co-titulars of the course FOPA 2221 "Educational methods, included evaluation of the learnings".
