Aims

The course should allow the students :
- to seek the organisational logics crossing and structuring the socio-educational institutions, particularly in terms of power, collegiality, coordination, control, standardisation, spatio-temporal organisation, relation with the environment;
- to seek the logics of action leaning on these characteristics, in distinguishing different levels of control and regulation.
At the end of the course the students should be able to lead an analysis of these organisations, taking into account their complexity and putting forward some consistent hypotheses of action.

Main themes

- Implicit theories of the organisations (Morgan, images of the organisation);
- Constitutive elements of an organisation : structures, contingencies, systems of aims, systems of actors, organisational forms and forces (Mintzberg)...;
- Characteristics of the educational organisations : bureaucratic, professional logics, "adhocratie", loosely coupled system (Weick);
- Evaluation and control of the socio-educational systems : carrying out of reformations, setting up of innovations, modes of management and evaluation of institutions for teaching and formation,...
