Aims

History of Exegesis
The history of exegesis lies at the crossroads of various disciplines: the history of thought and culture (hermeneutics, interpretation), the history of theology, and exegesis as it works today. The course tries to explain the diversity and rapid modifications in contemporary exegetical methods and to measure the historical impact of the phenomenon.

Main themes

The contents vary from year to year. The method consists in applying an interpretational grid to commentaries, showing the commentator's operations.
