Aims

The exploration of a standard work from the repertoire from a varied theatrical (dramaturgical and scenographic) viewpoint.

Main themes

The work within the context of the author's other texts and the director's repertoire.

Content and teaching methods

Content: Analysis of a text and a number of examples of the way it has been represented on stage. Understanding and analysing stagecraft using concrete examples and examining all aspects of representation (translation, analysis of one or more characters, space, costumes, props, etc.), in order to identify the original contribution of each reading of the work.
Method: Teacher-led course. Personal work by the student. Exchanges and discussions.
Comparative approach. Video material will be used.
