Listening comprehension

Oral speech
Individual : o ability to use expressions to describe one's family, other people, their way of life and current activities. Interactive :o ability to communicate on familiar topics with simple exchange of information. Level A2 of " Common European Framework of Reference for Languages"
Written speech
o Ability to compose short messages (e.g. a post-card) and fill in a form. Level A1 of " Common European Framework of Reference for Languages"
Code
Acquisition of basic structures in Russian. Vocabulary extension and consolidation. The accent is placed on communication rather than on correction of mistakes. Though special attention is paid to correct pronunciation.
Main themes
The course envisages the development of linguistic competence required for RUSSIAN 1300 courses. Main topics for oral speech development: family life, entertainments, trips and voyages, college life etc. Structures and vocabulary are mastered through oral and written exercises. Oral exercises are designed to be done in the laboratory.

Evaluation
o Continuous evaluation : a number of tests offered during an academic year are more informative rather than assessing. The mark given doesn't influence the general performance of a student. o Written and oral exam in June and August.
Other information
After passing an exam a student is awarded a certificate of l'ILV confirming acquisition of elementary level in Russian
