Aims

- to lead up the students to master the evaluation of children and adolescents with learning disorders
- to lead up the students to be able to refer to a relevant theoretical model, to choose the methods to gather relevant data, to interprete the results obtained, and, on this basis, to determine an appropriate strategy of intervention.

Main themes

The kind of cases studied can change from one year to the other, according to the learning problem tackled. The following themes show the questions that could be studied:
- disorders of general processes implied in the education learnings (autoevaluation, monitoring, transfer, deductive and inductive reasoning...)
- intricacy of learning disorders and emotional and motivational disorders
- dyslexias and dysorthographia
- acalculia
- cerebral disorders and learning
- mnestic disorders and learning

Content and teaching methods

- to allow the students to find their bearings in the evaluative theories and practices for the reading and writing disorders, to appraise them and to plan their prevention and therapies
