Aims

- to go into detail in the knowledge in the field of adolescent development.
- to draw the educational and clinical implicationsof this theoretical knowledge

Main themes

- Adolescence is tackled in the frame of a clinical psychology of development, whose foundings are the cognitivo-behavioural theories and the works on the identity and the reactions to the critical life events.
- different themes will be studied : the anthropological aspects of adolescence; the adolescence as crisis and conflict; puberty and sexuality; moral development and negociation strategies; identity; control, autonomy and life competencies; adolescents in difficulty...

Content and teaching methods

PSP 1300 "Psychology of human development".
For the students from other UCL programs or from other universities who did not have this course, one or two sessions of "levelling" will be organised.
