Aims
- to introduce the students to the main fields of social psychology
Main themes
Part 1 : social perception (formation of impression and attribution theories)
Part 2 : introduction to the major processes of social influence considered (social facilitation, imitation, norm formation, conformism, change of attitude and minority influence).
Part 3 : inter-personal processes such as aggression, attraction and altruism.
Content and teaching methods
Lectures on the following themes:

- inter-personal processes such as aggression, attraction and altruism.
Individual work of research, namely via the web, about one of the topics discussed in the course. Questions will be supplied at the beginning of the course and web sites and readings will also be supplied so as to serve as starting points for these questions.

Multiple choice exam on the content of the lectures and on the book by Jacques-Philippe Leyens and Vincent Yzerbyt "Psychologie sociale" (1997, Mardaga).
