Aims

By the end of the seminar the student will be able
to have a good mastery of ethical theories and concepts;
to write scientific papers on well defined research topics;
to contribute to interdisciplinary research projects in which ethical expertise is needed.

Main themes

In order to attain the objectives defined above, the seminar will offer an introduction to research by the means of research activities. The students will participate directly in the preparation and realisation of works on current affairs of ethical debate. Each student will present a paper. Its definite written version, an integral part of the student's performance, has to be submitted at the end of the term. The invitation of external specialists will depend on subjects and contacts. In any case the seminar will give the priority to the students' active participation and avoid a simple patchwork of lectures coming from outside.
