Aims

The modern philosophy seminar studies a theme in modern philosophy. Students will learn how to critically analyse and comment texts, to discover their main motifs, and to resituate them within modern philosophy as a whole and its repercussions on contemporary thought. By the end of the seminar, students will have extended their knowledge of research methodology in modern philosophy to the benefit of their own research.

Main themes

The themes addressed are in most cases fundamental themes of modern philosophy that contribute to contemporary philosophical debate.
