Aims
On the basis of the scholarly methods proposed in the seminar, the students acquire the ability to read and discuss texts that take their inspiration from the Bible.

Content and teaching methods
"The Bible and Religion in British and American Literature and Culture"
This seminar will be taught jointly by Professor Priscilla Leder from the U.S. and Professor Guido Latré from Belgium. Professor Leder will deal with the surprisingly large impact of religion on American culture. Professor Latré will look at the roots of biblical themes and images in English literature in Europe by studying the Tyndale and King Jame Bible in their 16th and 17th century contexts. There will be a guided tour to the Plantin Moretus Museum in Antwerp.
