Aims

The aim of this course is to discuss, at the university level, one of the questions relevant to Christian faith. At heart, this is a social sciences/humanities course, since, like all the other social sciences/humanities , faith can likewise offer to the human being a way of self-understanding. We shall confront the major questions which have always inspired the human being.

Main themes

The aim of this course is to discuss, at the university level, one of the questions relevant to Christian faith. At heart, this is a social sciences/humanities course, since, like all the other social sciences/humanities , faith can likewise offer to the human being a way of self-understanding. We shall confront the major questions which have always inspired the human being.

Content and teaching methods

The content will be chosen from the corpus of the Christian faith (examples: God, the Gospel, the problem of evil, Christian ethics, etc.). It is thus not a question here of addressing a professional goal of the Faculty (for example, the ethics or deontology of teaching). This is a course providing religious training and information, with the same rigour that could be expected by the student of any university course. Addressing a question of Christian faith, this course may just as well demonstrate its anthropological importance to a non-believer, as its truth and meaning to a believer wanting to deepen his/her faith.
