Aims
By the end of the course, the student should be able to analyse one or more texts in ancient philosophy and/or to address a specific question.
Main themes
In-depth analysis of a text and/or of a specific question in ancient philosophy. Content varies each year depending on the lecturer's research (for example : the semantic evolution of the term fantasia in ancient philosophy ; in-depth analysis of the first chapters of Aristotle's Metaphysics; the notion of substance in various texts of Plato and Aristotle; etc.).

Assessment : assessment is based on attendance and active class participation, as well as on a paper dealing with a theme addressed during the course.
