critical sense,
- to conceive the prosthetic restorations according to the biological, aesthetic and mechanical requirements,
- to select the types of preparation, of temporization and of impression the most adapted,
- to acquire a general knowledge of fixed prosthesis on implants,
- to correctly achieve all the preprothetic corono-radicular preparations, the temporization techniques and of the single unit impression.

Main themes

- To approach the concepts of dépouille, retention, stability, tissue economy
; periodontal and esthetic integration.
- To establish the instructions and the protocols of preparation for sealed prosthetic restorations and implant supported ones.
- To determine the methodology and the programming of the techniques

Content and teaching methods

- the lecture develops initially in an analytical way all the knowledes necessary to the achievement of the standart work of fixed prosthesis. Those are carried out progressively on an artificial mouth at the same time as the assimilation of the theoretical concepts.
- After the first months of formal and practical training, the student continuous to receive the courses which teach him how to integrate the basic concepts of in more or less complex fixed prosthesis contexts for which the clinical procedures and techniques are explained to him.

Method:
- magisterial statement illustrated by many didactic diagrams and clinical illustrations.
- practical works directed on artificial mouth placed in a patient simulator (realization of the different preparations, temporization means and single unit impressions.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

Pre-necessary:
-konwledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, dental prosthetic materials.

Evaluation:
- an oral examination, after a written preparation, takes place at the end of the year.
- practical exercises of autonomy (without help) at various moments of the year.
