Aims

Those lectures are the follow up of CHIM 2211. They treat the combustion phenomena with flow processes.

Main themes

The experimental approach of combustion processes is dealt with thoroughly in view of the practical applications (burners, ovens, engines, fires,…). The different regimes encountered in combustion (deflagrations and detonations) are studied as well as several phenomena connected with burning: the chemionization, the chimiluminescence, the building up of pollutants and their abatement.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

Prerequisites: CHIM2211 + CHIM2212.

Evaluation: oral examination + personal work.

Support: course notes and bibliographic references.

Supervision: teacher.

Other credits in programs

CHIM22

Deuxième licence en sciences chimiques
