Aims
The goal is to extend the basic formation given in "Analytical Chemistry I" (CHIM 2151) to current instrumental methods of analysis. The philosophy and strategy of this course are identical to those described in CHIM 2151.
Main themes
The main topics of this course concern electrochemical and spectrochemical analysis, and separation methods. For each of these chapters, the theoretical bases of these methods are described and the important steps of their practical execution are underlined. This course will allow the student to obtain a professional behaviour towards the genesis of analytical information (instrumentation, protocols, performances, cautions).
Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)
Prerequisites: general chemistry (candidature), CHIM 2100 and CHIM2151 courses.
