Aims

- Help the understanding of the course analytical chemistry I (CHIM 2151)
- Familiarize the student with the theory-experience relation
- Train the student to a professional behaviour in a chemistry laboratory
- Give the student an initiative spirit towards practical processes

Main themes

A series of practical exercises on titration methods, gravimetry and potentiometric analysis are proposed. The student should rely on his course CHIM 2151 and on the available literature in order to select in a reasonable way reactants and to define the appropriate operating modes.

Prerequisites: knowledge of CHIM2151 course (general chemistry in candidature).

Evaluation: thorough understanding of theory is required for correct execution of exercises.
