Aims

Synthesis and study of physico-chemical properties of transition metal coordination compounds.

Main themes

The exercises contain a part specific to inorganic chemistry and a part integrated in analytical chemistry.
Their goal is to:
- synthesize and purify coordination compounds of transition metals
- master the main techniques of physico-chemical characterization (mainly spectroscopic) of inorganic compounds.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

Prerequisites: Concepts of coordination chemistry (CHIM2130), inorganic chemistry.

Evaluation: Laboratory reports.

Support: Laboratory manual, reference book from CHIM2130 course and others bibliographic references advised for this education.

Other credits in programs
