Aims

To confirm the basic theoretical knowledge of concepts, processes and strategies indispensable to acquire the neccesary skills to teach French as second or foreign language. The practical work sessions and didactic exercises will help the students make the link easier between the theoretical projections and the on the field daily teaching activities.

Main themes

Study of some sequences of the teaching French as second or foreign language. what is at stake, what are the contents, methods and learning assessment ?
30 hours theoretical course.
15 h practical work and exercises sessions, organised for groups of 20 students, with links to the questions of the theoretical course. The questions are illustrated and tried out.

Content and teaching methods

The course gives didactical means on how to teach :
- vocabulary and grammar
- how to read and write
- the culture to non-French speaking people.

Prerequisites : This course can be follow as from the 3rd year.

Oral and written exam.
