Statistical Tools for Data Based Modeling and their Application to Wireless Channel Characterization

Part 1: Array Signal Processing and Double Directional Channel Sounding (9h-12h)
- Basics of Array Signal Processing and antenna modeling through illustrations, including ideal models, virtual arrays, as well as calibrated real arrays
- Channel sounding principle, architectures and applications
- Double Directional Propagation Paths and Dense Multipath Component
Part 2: Parameter Estimation Techniques: theory and examples (14h-17h)
- Parameter estimation including initialization strategies, parameter optimization, sequential estimation, as well as comparison between SAGE, RIMAX and EKF
- Applications, including channel sounding campaigns and UWB MIMO radar
